The ground floor offers a striking, spacious open plan kitchen, diner & lounge area. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with high spec appliances and a minimalist design. There is a cosy wood burner, smart TV, and relaxing sofas to enjoy in the lounge space and a great dining space with fabulous views to take advantage of whilst eating your meals. Two sets of patio doors open the downstairs onto the outdoor area where you have seating, an outdoor preparing space & hot tub!
The first floor boasts two spacious king size bedrooms both with en suite walk-in showers, the Nordic style creates a welcoming feel and offers stunning views to wake up to. The master bedroom also has a beautiful roll top bath facing out towards the Lakeland fells.
Drakes Barn is located in Lupton, just a short walk from the market Town of Kirkby Lonsdale, offering an abundance of boutique shops, local pubs & cafes as well as fine dining restaurants. There is also a fabulous market on every Thursday to enjoy. You can take a 45 minute walk to Kirkby along the country lanes, cycle or it is a short drive down the road.
The Plough @ Lupton is your nearest pub and is a 30-minute walk heading over Scout Hill. Whilst up there spend a moment to take in the incredible views of the Lakeland Fells. This area was used in the opening scenes of the new Beatrix Potter movie! Just down the road is a great farm shop offering local produce and a tea room.

This new build has been done to the highest standard. The quality of the barn is fantastic and the views and location is perfect. You may think when you at the photos on the website, that the views from the bedroom windows are CGI - they aren't! There is lots to explore in the area, and plenty of good quality pubs nearby.

We had such a lovely time celebrating our 26th anniversary. It is in a fantastic location,with beautiful scenery. Loved the hot tub and was able to enjoy the peace. The barn was exceptional and the owners should be very proud. Would definitely go back and cannot wait.

| Drakes Barn was absolutely beautiful, extremely comfortable in every way and the peaceful location was just what we were after. We would wake each day, put the fabulous electric blinds up and just marvel at the view, it really is picture perfect. The house was warm, immaculately clean and brand new. The hot tub was a very welcome addition on cold starry nights too. The house was cleverly designed to maximise the views and we delighted in them. Everything in the house is high spec and the beds were so comfortable, with high quality linen, and it was a drag to leave them each morning! The property felt secure with electric entry gates and was a dream to return to each day after exploring the local area. We have stayed in many holiday homes and this one was faultless. We really didn't want to leave and would love to return asap. Thank you for a wonderful relaxing holiday. |
| The modern barn was in beautiful scenery set overlooking fields of sheep with lots of game birds (Grouse, Partridge and Pheasants) wandering about. Still within easy reach of the main access roads, but far enough away not to be disturbed by the traffic. The lodge itself was top drawer quality. Absolutely pristine clean with all top quality equipment for use, no half measures were taken. The beds were IMO, perfect, lovely spacious living area and open plan cooking and eating island kitchen. The hot tub most certainly the cherry on the cake . Absolute luxury. |
