We’re very lucky here at Mill House Cottages to be based in such a diverse area which really does have something to suit everyone’s taste when it comes to finding something to do while visiting the area.

The Wordsworth Museum
If you are familiar with famous literature, then it is highly likely that you will already know of the work of William Wordsworth. His romantic poetry has inspired many generations and his work is still as poignant today.
Look through his hand written notes and stroll through the beautiful gardens that inspired him to write such beautiful poetry! There are even events that are held regularly which are centred around the inspirational life that Wordsworth led, so be sure to sign up - they get booked up quite quickly, as you can imagine!
Rheghed
If finding out about the arts and culture of the Lake District is something that you are interested in on a broader scale, Rheghed is the destination for you.
