Had a great few days at The Nook, very well equipped and comfortable. Lovely enclosed garden ideal for dogs. Lots of lovely walks close by. Really appreciated the goodies that were there to welcome us including a delicious cake and damson gin! Would definitely recommend.
A very comfortable stay in a lovely location. The village is excellent and within easy reach of Cumbria, Yorkshire and Lancashire. In addition there are lovely walks along the River Lune to Kirkby Lonsdale, itself a delightful busy market town, were enjoyed by us and our dog, Jack. The ability to park the car and dry off wet boots and coats in the large interconnected barn (?) is an added bonus.
Another really enjoyable stay at the Nook. Made to feel welcome by the owners who left a lovely lemon drizzle cake and an excellent bottle of wine. The general area is outstanding for scenery and the walking is excellent. The standard of the cottage is outstanding with really comfortable beds and superb bathrooms. The kitchen is excellently equipped and the dining room and sitting room are great for relaxing. Despite it being late September we were able to enjoy taking afternoon tea in the lovely garden. Will certainly return.
We had a very enjoyable stay at the Nook earlier this month. The cottage had everything that you could wish for and was an ideal base to explore the Yorkshire Dales. It was great to find a selection of items including wine and home made cake on arrival. There was also treats for the dog! The location is beautifully quiet and the garden was lovely to sit out in. The owner lives close by and called in during our stay to make sure we had all we needed. We would highly recommend the cottage.
We have stayed at The Nook a few times now and it never ceases to fulfil our needs. A lovely cottage, clean, comfortable and central to a lovely town and beautiful countryside. Every attention to feta for guests needs is met even down to towels and treats for your furry friends. We will always go back to The Nook, it is our home from home and our happy place
