Tucked away in a gorgeous corner of Kirkby Lonsdale, with views over to Ruskin’s View, this contemporary and stylish property is the ultimate in luxury self-catering accommodation.
The ground floor living space offers a spacious kitchen/dining room which is fully fitted with modern appliances, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer-drier.
The sitting room is flooded with light and enjoys access through patio doors onto the private courtyard. Free wi-fi access. A contemporary gas stove and underfloor heating keep the cottage warm and cosy all year round.
The 5-star cottage contains one super-king bedroom which can be split into two singles as well as a spacious king-size bedroom that opens out onto a roof terrace with seating area.
The bathroom has a large bath, luxurious, huge walk-in shower, wash basin and toilet. There is also a downstairs toilet room.

paddle boarding (on Windermere) and for train enthusiasts the famous Settle to Carlisle train journey, Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway are within an hour’s drive.
It is well known for inspiring the artist Turner and the author Ruskin, whom the famous Ruskins View along the River Lune is named after. Devils Bridge is a popular landmark of the town attracting locals, visitors and bikers. St Mary’s Church dates back to Norman times and is popular with visitors.

The home has looked brand new and spotless since we started coming in 2018! They keep it immaculate, which means we always know what to expect. Kirkby Lonsdale is full of great shops, and we went out a lot this holiday to visit surrounding villages and family. Look forward to our next trip! Highly recommended.

Ruskins View cottage is a hidden gem in the heart of Kirkby Lonsdale. Extremely spacious cottage with excellent secure parking. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered providing a perfect environment with all amenities you could wish for. Great walks from the door with the added bonus of a hot tub to relax in afterwards. We look forward to returning for another super holiday.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this luxurious, modern 5* cottage with amazing views. A perfect place for a relaxing break. The cottage is located close to the centre of Kirkby Lonsdale with everything you should need within walking distance e.g. restaurants, pubs, cafes, shops. Everywhere we went everyone was friendly and helpful. In fact, the cottage has everything you need to just stay there and not move if you wanted to. It has the added bonus of parking which is rare in the town. A soak in the hot tub is a must after a long walk and is perfect for any aching muscles. Thank you to Neil for the warm and friendly welcome and the hamper of deluxe local goodies was much appreciated meaning you don’t need to venture out for supplies as soon as you arrive We will definitely be booking again soon as we could easily have stayed for another few days.

| Ruskins View is truly a magnificent cottage. the location is amazing, right in the heart of Kirby Lonsdale but with stunning views over the country side. It’s so peaceful, but convenient to be able to walk to the lovely eateries and pubs and lovely local individual shops. The cottage is absolutely spotless and looks brand new. A welcome hamper beyond belief with fresh bread, jam, eggs, ale, biscuits, butter and Prosecco in the fridge AND a homemade Victoria sponge freshly made sitting on the side begging to be eaten! The cottage is spacious but cosy and has all the facilities, and more, that you would possibly need for a perfect stay. A lovely rainfall shower in the bathroom as well as a bath, all spotless and with Bath House toiletries too. The bedrooms are big, spacious and light and we look forward to returning in the summer months so we can sit out on the balcony and take in the peace and quiet of the scenery. There are board games a plenty, and all the little things that make a difference..candles, fresh flowers. The kitchen is pristine with every utensil, glass, crockery, pots and pans and dishes you could ask for. Oh! I forgot the hot tub!.. truly a bonus and so peaceful to sit in the privacy of the courtyard garden with a glass of Prosecco after a days exploring! This is definitely one of the loveliest cottages we have ever stayed in and the owners are friendly and informative but without being intrusive. We hope to return to Ruskins View again and again. We have been visiting the Yorkshire Dales for many years and visit Kirkby Lonsdale every time as part of our “go to” favourite. It has everything : first class butcher, bakery plus lots of place to eat. And a supermarket just two minutes away… everything you need for a perfect break. |

| Our second visit to Ruskins View, to celebrate our Ruby Anniversary. Everything about this place is perfect, cleanliness, facilities, location, friendliness.. just amazing. We just feel at home here and the view is to die for looking out over Ruskins…. Wonderful. The owners are friendly and welcoming but not intrusive, the location is peaceful but with the advantage of having so many restaurants, bars and bespoke shops just round the corner. The cottage is equipped and decorated to an amazing standard and dining in is a pleasure especially if you purchase meat from the local butcher! We had a fabulous 7 days at Ruskins, the weather was varied!… but we still enjoyed our stay, made the most of the hot tub and hot out and about to our favourite places. We will definitely return. |
