Lovely accommodation, immaculate. Garden and adjacent farm very enjoyable. Plenty of places to visit in the Dales and Lakes.
Wow what a place to have stayed in such a lovely part of the country. The view out of each window is breathtaking, the house is immaculate with everything anyone would need. We literally thought we were the first ever guests. Lovely touches like the hamper were appreciated and the communication was great, even though we didn’t have to contact them once during our stay due to having all of the information already sent to us/at the property. Definitely aim to stay there again soon. Thank you so much
Had a wonderful time with family at New Thornber.
First class accommodation with good quality furnishings. Nothing had been overlooked and the welcome pack was a lovely touch.
Will definitely return at a later date.
Lovely house with great views. A family stay for a special birthday. Spacious rooms with all the facilities we could need. Comfortable and warm. Peaceful and quiet. Great outside space which we didnt use due to the weather much to our regret. A little far from amenities but that didnt bother us at all. A great stay and highly recommended.
The house is excellent and equipped to a very high standard. It is spacious, well designed and accommodates 8 comfortably. The location is beautiful with views in three directions of the atmospheric conditions in this part of the world, and the cows and sheep. The hosts were helpful in finding the property, which can be difficult in the dark, despite the detailed instructions - if approaching from the south on the A65, don't turn left onto the B6480, (as w did) but wait until you get to the left turn in Ingleton onto Robin Lane, as detailed in the instructions! The welcome hamper and tea and coffee were also much appreciated.
All our family enjoyed a relaxing break at New Thornber over the festive period. The property has a luxurious feel to it and is very cozy. Lovely welcome basket was a nice touch. A couple of small comments - another dustbin would have been useful, and an adult size armchair in the downstairs bedroom would have been welcome. We would highly recommend New Thornber as a great place to stay. Thank you xx
The house is finished to a very high standard, was warm and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay as a pre Christmas gathering. Laura and the team, even put up Christmas decorations, which made it even more welcoming and special.
Amazing views from every window and a great location in the Dales. Close by shops and places to eat. Everything you need is in the house with great bathrooms and showers, comfortable for 6 - 8 adults. Hosts responded to queries and went above and beyond to help.
We stayed at New Thornber to celebrate my 50th birthday, and to walk the Three Peaks. We arrived to find that Laura had decorated the house with balloons and banners, a lovely surprise. The house is gorgeous, and the welcome hamper a nice addition. All rooms were bright and there were views from every window, you had to choose where to look! We slept every night with the curtains open so we woke up to sheep and cows, and the sounds of birds tweeting. Bliss. Everything we needed was there, and I fell in love with the kitchen. Having a boot room was perfect for keeping muddy shoes out of the way, and space for everything to dry off. It was just a 20 minute walk into the village of Bentham, with pubs and takeaways if you don't want to cook after a long day in the hills. and even closes to the golf club! I have already recommended this place to friends. |
Millhouse cottages never fail to deliver! New thornber lived up to the usual standard! Amazing views all around and very peaceful. So well equipped, we cooked 3 big meals and there was nothing we couldn’t find! The little Easter touches and display of spring bulbs and flowers were fabulous. The property was immaculately clean and comfortable for us as 6 adults. Great boot room which is invaluable after a day walking. 5 star accommodation as always!
The property exceeded all expectations. It is finished to a very high standard, quality furnishings and equipment. Gardens and views spectacular. It is located well of the main road up a short single track lane. Surrounded by fields with sheep, lambs and cows which were very entertaining. Very relaxing sitting in the well kept garden. Plenty to do and see round the area. The property has lots of local information and maps available for those wishing to explore. High Bentham has lots of eateries we had meal in Coach House which was very nice. All in all super break to treat my husband's mum and dad for their diamond anniversary they just loved it. Highly recommend
It was so pleasant to walk into a holiday let and feel ‘at home’ straight away. We felt as if we were the first to rent the property (we weren’t!). It is that good and is certainly well looked after. New Thornber is a well appointed, spacious, warm, cosy and comfortable house that has everything you would need for a pleasant stay. The views over the valley are stunning. The managers were at the end of the phone if necessary. (NB If you are visiting our hint to finding the entrance, it is about 10yards into the 30mph limit on the left.)
Everything about this lovely home was exceptional - it was spotlessly clean, it was extremely comfortable and very well equipped. We loved its position too, very private even though there was another house close by, and the views were beautiful. It’s close to the village which has a good co-op, pubs and an amazing secondhand bookshop, which was a great find. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in New Thornber, we couldn’t think of even one suggestion to improve anything - the house really is that good. |
