Loch View House sits on the banks of Loch Lochy. This stunning detached property has a private beach, and uninterrupted views over the Loch and the Great Glen. Loch View House is situated in Letterfinlay, a peaceful and tranquil area on the outskirts of Fort William. This is the perfect location to explore the highlands or if you prefer, to kick back, relax and enjoy the property and its beautiful surroundings.
The house has three spacious double bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms. All bedrooms are located on the first floor each with stunning views over the Loch. Bed linen, towels and complimentary highland hand soaps are provided as part of the package. On the ground floor, the large newly fitted and fully equipped kitchen with luxury appliances leads onto the open plan lounge and dining area. The kitchen, lounge and dining area all boast stunning Loch and mountain views. In addition, there is an office space ideal for home working and a separate toilet with a washbasin. There is a large decking area at the front of the house with an outside corner sofa and an electric awning with an infrared heater.
From the front garden, you can take the steps down to a private beach on the Lochside. There is private parking on the property for up to 3 cars.
Loch Lochy is just 15 minutes from the Nevis Range Gondola system - perfect for skiing in the winter and mountain biking in the summer. Fort William which lies 20 minutes to the south is known as the Outdoor Capital of the UK and offers every possible activity from kayaking, white water rafting and climbing.
Loch View is an ideal location for touring the West Coast, The Islands of Skye and Mull, and of course, Loch Ness and within easy driving range.
An hour from Loch View lies Inverness, the principal town in the region. A trip on the famous Harry Potter steam train over to Mallaig is essential or drive along the Road to The Isles and wonder at the beauty of the area!
The closest village of Spean Bridge (10 minutes by car) offers a Cashmere Factory outlet and a convenience store as well as a great restaurant featured in the Michelin Guide. There is also a hotel offering food 200 yards from the house itself.
Surrounded by the majestic landscape of Loch Lochy, Loch View House has a private beach and jetty. Its large viewing terrace is perfect for sitting to watch the boats sail up and down the loch, which forms part of the Caledonian Canal.

Mill House Cottages are a great company to deal with and providing truly amazing accommodation. The property and its location is stunning in an area filled with beauty and lots of things to do. Try relaxing outside looking over the loch, walking, climbing, Segway's and the best activity of all white water rafting. There is as much as you wish to do in the immediate area and lots to take in. Amazing, we will be back.

A beautiful house, spotlessly clean with everything that we could possibly need, with stunning views across Loch Lochy. The bottle of fizz was a lovely welcoming touch. There are many interesting places to see and activities for days out; we enjoyed wildlife cruises on Loch Linnhe and the Mallaig coast, TreeZone Aviemore, the Cairngorm Mountain Railway, the Highland Wildlife Park, a walk with the Loch Ness Alpacas and a day trip to Mull, but there were many more places that we would have liked to see - a week wasn't long enough! The customer service team replied promptly to an email about items that we had left behind, and were very helpful. We would highly recommend Mill House Cottages and will probably book another week in Loch View House next year.
